Trentino ski buses travel with Microlog!

Not only Retail and Shopping Centers, we are also carring out important projects for public transportation!

In recent weeks the Microlog team has been working to install passenger counting sensors on around a hundred vehicles, divided between buses and GT buses, both of Trentino Trasporti and private carriers, in many territories of Trentino and in particular: Altopiano della Paganella, Val di Sole, Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Val Rendena, Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa and San Martino di Castrozza.

The aim of Trentino Marketing and the Tourism Companies involved is to monitor passenger flows in order to optimize the quality service offered.

The planned people counters, installed near the entrance and exit doors of the buses, are either infrared, high-precision Wi-Fi Smartcheck sensors from Microlog, or special 3D cameras: these are models designed specifically for public transportation, but they take up the same measurement characteristics as the 3D sensors typically aimed at stores, inheriting their reliability and maximum counting accuracy.

The data collected by the tracking sensors (total and partial passenger numbers, by period, by stop, by line, occupancy rate, and GPS route) are then processed on Microlog’s CheckinWeb platform, which features intuitive, easy-to-read dashboards for constant, near-real-time monitoring of people flows.
